Naturally 7 goes to Kelowna, BC
Naturally 7 is an incredible acapella band that opened for Micheal Buble in Kelowna, British Columbia (BC) this past January. Kelowna is a vibrant lake-side city with a population of about 170,000 located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of BC.
After four hours of driving, as my son and I took our seats (and missed the first few minutes of the show), Naturally 7 was introducing themselves as a gospel, rhythm & blues, jazz & soul group from New York and that everything they do is completely without any instruments or sound effects whatsoever.
I was very skeptical, my son even more so. Then they started to play, well not really – but they did! Their voices, the sounds of guitars and drums – it was truly amazing and their pitch was perfect. It was so cool when Jamal Reed performed his rendition of a Jimmy Hendrix style motorcycle. Yes, a motorcycle.
My absolute favourite song is their cover of Phil Collin’s In the Air Tonight . So check out this YouTube video of award-winning Naturally 7 giving an impromptu performance while riding on the Metro.
And yes, this is a blog about travel. To Kelowna. And what I did there.
Take care,
Connie
