San Diego Zoo Baby Tiger Cubs – see the official video here!
Three adorable Malayan tiger cubs made their way in the Tiger River exhibit at the San Diego Zoo this past Wednesday.
After spending three months in the zoo’s maternity ward with their mother, Mek, the three cubs pounced happily into their new home. The two female cubs have been named Jin (meaning spirit), and Seri (meaning bright). The male cub has been named Menderu (meaning roar).
The cubs interacted and played about for almost three hours. See the official San Diego Zoo video here:
Malayan tigers are on the endangered species list and the San Diego Zoo has an active breeding program for both Malayan and Sumatran tigers. For as little as $35, find out how you can adopt an animal, a project or a baby at the San Diego Zoo.
