3 Injured in SkyWest Airlines VS. Maintenance Truck?!
Earlier this morning, a SkyWest Airlines regional jet ran into an airport maintenance truck on a runway at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.
SkyWest Airlines is a subsidiary of United Airlines and apparently there were no passengers onboard at the time of incident as the aircraft was travelling from the hangar area to a gate.
Reportedly the driver of the truck has been taken to hospital in critical condition while the two other passengers received only minor injuries. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), United Airlines and SkyWest are investigating the incident.
In terms of passenger traffic, Chicago O’Hare airport is the number two airport in the world servicing over 77 million passengers each year.
