Top 10 Cities in the U.S. & Canada
Once again, Travel & Leisure magazine has named the Top 10 Cities in the U.S. and Canada. All of these choices offer a unique experience and are wonderful to visit. I am also proud to say that 4 of them are in my home country of Canada. So let’s take at look at the Top 10 Cities in as ranked by the readers of Travel & Leisure:
- New York, NY
- San Francisco, CA
- Chicago, IL
- Charleston, SC
- Santa Fe, NM
- Quebec City, QC
- Montreal, QC
- Vancouver, BC
- Savannah, GE
- Victoria, BC
Again, my curiosity always wants to know why you love these cities, so leave a comment and tell me. How many of the Top 10 have you visited or how many of you are lucky enough to be living in one of these greats? I have visited only 4 from the list, how about you?
Take care,
Connie
Let’s see:
New York - love Broadway, love the ferry across to Statue of Liberty, and love, love, love Ellis Island!
San Francisco - love the bridge! There’s something about that bridge that I can’t explain, it’s like the west coast’s Statue of Liberty!
Chicago - so very different to what I expected! I thought it would be industrial and grimy (don’t ask why, I have no clue), and it’s not it’s beautiful! Love the way the river snakes through the city.
Charleston - love the old world charm.
Santa Fe - the history fascinates me, the heat I hated!
Quebec - didn’t like that shop assistants refused to speak English (even in France the store personnel are happy to show off their language ability). The architecture was stunning though.
Montreal - only been to the airport as a gateway through to Vancouver so this is the one on your list I haven’t visited.
Vancouver - Beautiful city that combines so many cultures, and all within minutes from either the ocean or mountains. BC is the most beautiful place on earth.
Savannah - one of my favourite US cities. Like Charleston I love the old part of the city with the antebellum homes and the history.
Victoria - love the ferry crossing, and Victoria is so beautiful. Whether at the beach or inland in the parks and gardens, there’s so much beauty!
Not bad for a Brit huh?
